Performance
The new Jeep® Wrangler has two engine options. The base is a V6 3.6-liter engine with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-ft of torque. It comes with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. The 3.6-liter produces a combined fuel economy of 21 mpg for the manual six-speed transmission and 22 mpg for the automatic eight-speed manual transmission.
The V6 has an optional eTorque hybrid system that gives superior fuel economy while enabling the vehicle to have good starting power and better rock and obstacle maneuverability. Meanwhile, the alternative is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 270 horsepower and an impressive 295 pound-feet of torque. The turbocharged four-cylinder machine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
